Physically he didn't have much ailing him, he had bounced back quicker after their torture from the poachers! But mentally… just as Black Hat vanished so unexpectedly that hour at the altar, here he is again, up and deserting his partner; like not every piece of him had come back after all.
Flug moves to follow the order, hanging up the coat carefully and stops.
Except today. Earlier today was the outlier. What made things different today? Having something to focus on? If the debacle prior to negotiations said anything, it was that the demon didn't actually want the arachne away from his side.

If Flug agitates Black Hat-- the only possible form of upset the evil being engaged in-- so be it, even an angry Black Hat is better than one feeling so empty. Flug leans in the doorway, pushing it open as a test-- a tremble in his arm betraying the assertive exterior he tries to play up.]
“The oil will keep till morning.” [He pulls his bag off, for further emphasis. No point in hiding when he wants his expression to have impact.]
“But I set it to cycle through twice as often.” [An absolutely pointless task, save for placating their shared need for spite, but better than outright insubordination.]
“Respectfully, sir, the night is still young."[Hardly time to turn in and brood in one’s quarters. Not when time was something they had wanted so badly.]
